When this guy was born, we knew we had something special.
A straight Ekern-bred ram that has flat out grown to what we have expected. His sire, Ekern 221 was the Record High Selling January ram lamb at the National Show and Sale in 2012 that we purchased from Kirk Ekern. His dam, Ekern 246 was the 1st place February ewe lamb at the National Show and Sale in 2012 as well. She ended up being 2nd place at NAILE in 2013 in the competitive slick shorn class. We feel very confident with this ram as we have used him on the majority of our yearling ewes this year. When you evaluate this ram from the ground, he is super sound on his feet and legs, has a huge rack, and is straight down his top, with an exceptional hip that will not only make show sheep and brood ewes, but will make competitive wethers as well. We are looking forward to seeing his lambs this spring.
